How is I-GO Right for My Business?

• How can you help me replace or supplement
  my fleet cars?
  First we will provide a simple worksheet to help you calculate
  the hourly cost of your fleet. This helps identify which vehicles it makes sense to keep, and
  which ones it makes more sense to replace with hourly I-GO usage.Most fleet cars are used 1.5 hours per business day. I-GO vehicles are used 5+ hours EVERY day. Our reservation system provides that leverage. We can generally
  meet your transportation demands with one I-GO car for every five of your fleet cars,
  which contributes to a huge savings.Architect and engineering firms, non-profits, universities and the City of
  Chicago have replaced some or all of their fleet vehicles with I-GO memberships.
  Some organizations find that it’s more economical to eliminate all of their in-house
  vehicles and do a complete replacement with I-GO; others keep some vehicles, but
  sell off those with lower utilization, and use I-GO to fill the gaps.

• Can I get an I-GO car that only my employees
  can use?
  Yes, in two ways: The car can be exclusive to your authorized drivers during
  the business day; this is what we call a semi-exclusive vehicle. Or the car can
  be exclusive to your authorized drivers 24/7. Consult your I-GOrepresentative for details.X
• How can I-GO help me reduce parking demand?
  Several organizations have found success by offering their employees free I-GO
  memberships and free I-GO usage during the business day in exchange for turning
  in a parking pass. Fewer cars come to work, so you can put your capital resources
  into building productive assets rather than parking structures. This strategy
  is even more successful if you already offer transit passes as an employee benefit.X
• Can I get an I-GO car on my property?
  Of course! There’s no better way to make I-GO accessible to your employees
  than to have a vehicle location on your property or in your building. Contact
  your I-GO representative  to set it up.X

Pricing and Insurance

• What volume discounts do you offer?
  Check out our Volume Plans, specifically designed for Business Members.X
• Are there sign up fees?
  Sign up fees vary according to size of company. Ask about our non-profit rates
  when you request a Business ApplicationPacket.X
• Can our business earn driving credits through referrals?
  Yes! Receive a $50 driving voucher when another company mentions that they
  heard about I-GO from your company. Also, if you are a part of the Sustainable Business Alliance, your business can get a $25 rebate for enrolling in I-GO through the Alliance!X
• What insurance do you provide?
  I-GO comes with full insurance coverage, $300,000 for accident, and $5,000
  per person per accident in medical. Your employees who are approved I-GO drivers
  would be covered whenever they are driving I-GO vehicles. In the event of an accident
  for which an I-GO driver is at fault, your organization is responsible for the
  first $500 of damage caused to I-GO and other vehicles. If damage is not reported
  to I-GO, and we determine that you or a colleague is responsible, your organization
  is responsible for the first $750 of the deductible.X
• Are there stipulations for insurance coverage?
  If any of the following rules are violated, insurance by I-GO may be withdrawn:

  • Allowing non-approved drivers (non-members) to drive an I-GO vehicle, including
    family members
  • Any use of an I-GO vehicle without a prior reservation
  • Driving an I-GO vehicle outside the United States without prior permission
    from I-GO

Rules and Restrictions

• Can my employees younger than 21
  drive an I-GO car?
  Yes, if they are also enrolled in a College or University.  For more details, visit our 18-20 year old program for students.X
• What if an employee of mine is a qualified driver in my fleet program but doesn’t qualify for I-GO?
  Sorry, he or she can’t drive an I-GO car.

• Can I use I-GO in other cities?
  Although I-GO Car Sharing is a non-profit car sharing program in the Chicagoland area, I-GO is working closely with many independent and non-profit car sharing organizations in North America to ensure car sharing retains its focus on making cities more livable and affordable. If you are planning a trip to another city that offers car sharing, call us at least a week prior to your trip and we will help coordinate the details with our car sharing partners and get you driving!  For a list of our car sharing partners, visit our Partners & Friends page
