VanderCook President Dr. Charles "Charlie" Menghini and members of the VanderCook College of Music Summer Graduate Band perform for participants and attendees at the Annual Dragon Boat Races at Ping Tom Park in Chinatown.
This summer, over 1000 music teachers were the beneficiaries of I-GO. VanderCook College of Music, located on the campus of IIT, runs the largest summer music education program in the world. With over 190 music teachers in a six-week residency program and an additional 850 music teachers enrolled for one-week long continuing education courses, VanderCook needed a way to help transport visiting faculty to and from campus. Their solution was I-GO.
"The I-GO Car Sharing Program was a great addition to our summer program" commented Dr. Charles T. Menghini (pictured right, above), president of VanderCook. "We saved time and we saved money. Our visiting faculty were impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the vehicles."
"With two cars on the IIT campus, it was a quick two block walk to the car. And not having to worry about vehicle maintenance, buying gas, etc. made the I-GO arrangement even better. We will certainly continue to use I-GO in the future."
VanderCook College of Music began preparing music teachers in 1909 and is a proud new member of the I-GO Car Sharing family.
Member Tip #1: Reporting damage
Please remember to thoroughly check the inside and outside of the vehicle before you begin your trip. If you see any dents or scratches on the exterior, please report it on one of the accident report sheets that can be found in the visor. If you notice the inside of the vehicle is dirty (pet hair, smell of cigarette smoke, etc.), please let us know immediately.
Member Tip #2: Taking the right vehicle
When reserving a car, please pay close attention to the car number and car type. Taking the wrong car is an inconvenience to other fellow members and results in excess charges for you.
